Veteran actress Reema Lagoo passed away on May 18 at the age of 59. As per reports, Reema suffered cardiac arrest and breathed her last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
The funeral is to be held at 2 p.m. Several Bollywood actors including Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have paid tribute to the actress on social media.
Reema was one of the well-known actresses of the film as well as TV industry. She was last seen Mahesh Bhatt's ongoing serial Naamkaran. She is remembered for her iconic comedy roles in Tu Tu Main Main, Shriman Shrimati and Marathi serial Tuza Maza Jamena.
The actress has mostly played mother's role for Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in films like Vaastav, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Maine Pyar Kiya.

Reema got her big break when she appeared as Salman's mother in Maine Pyar Kiya. Her work as an actress was appreciated. She has also been one of the best on-screen moms, who appeared mostly opposite Alok Nath.
