Last week, Samsung unveiled the company's new Z4 series smartphone and now the device has made its debut in India.
Samsung Z4 runs on the proprietary Tizen 3.0 OS, which comes with new security features and also an array of shorcuts, which offer fast and easy access to frequently used functions.
Tizen OS allows device owners to use different combinations of physical buttons or swipe the screen to create shortcuts to launch convenient features, including Quick Talk, Quick Torch, Quick Launch of camera or Quick Switch without returning to the home screen. For instance, Quick Talk will launch a set of shortcuts localized by region, such as Alarm, Call, or Music, simply through voice activated commands. As a part for 'Make for India' initiative, Samsung has incorporated S bike mode, which lets consumers ride tension free while encouraging responsible riding. IT has also included the "My Money Transfer" feature that lets users do offline banking on most popular banks of India. For the ease of first-time smartphone user, most-used popular social, banking and utility apps have been preloaded in Samsung Z4.
As far as physical attributes are concerned, Samsung Z4 comes with an eye-catching back cover having textures, which also offers nice grip for the hands to hold the phone.
On the front, it sports a 4.5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass shield, which not only exudes premium but also protects the screen edges from cracking during accidental fall.
Entry-level Samsung Z4 also comes with a nice set of camera hardware. It houses a 5MP snapper on back with dual-LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it comes packed with same 5MP shooter and also dedicated single-LED flash support for taking fine quality selfies under low-light conditions. For faster selfies, Samsung has incorporated gesture features, which allows users to take a photo by showing their palm or by saying launch phrase"cheese" or by waiting for Auto Selfie, which uses facial recognition to take sharp and accurate pictures.
Inside, it houses a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage and a 2,050mAh cell with Ultra Power saving mode to extend the battery life.
