As expected, Tuesday's (30 September) Xiaomi Redmi 1S flash sale got over in a jiffy.
The company (via official Facebook page) said that all Redmi 1S units were sold in 13.9 seconds. Though the time taken is a bit slower compared to the previous sales, it's still remarkable compared to other devices sold online.
It has to be noted that Xiaomi's reseller affiliate Flipkart has used new algorithm in Tuesday's flash sale to inhibit illegal purchase of Redmi 1S. The new software is said to be intuitive enough to automatically block select consumers, who use illegal means (like scripts or browser extensions) to purchase the device repeatedly and sell them for exorbitant prices at online classified websites.
That's being said, the Chinese company has announced fans to expect something special for next week's flash sale, hinting the Xiaomi Mi3 might go on sale on 7 September.

Even Flipkart has confirmed that Redmi 1S flash sale is slated to take off on 14 October afternoon. Next week's (7 October) flash sale space seems to be kept open for Xiaomi Mi3.
That's not all, there is more good news to follow: The Chinese company has also revealed that there will be up to one lakh Redmi 1S smartphones for sale in October second week, 40,000 units more than the all previous flash sales.
This double delight of Xiaomi Mi3 of making a comeback and the increase in number of Redmi 1S units in upcoming flash sale will certainly win fans' hearts and it also shows Xiaomi's sincere effort of making a mark in the India's smartphone market.
[Note: Registration for 14 October flash sale has been opened for the public on Tuesday, 30 September at 6pm on Flipkart. Even those registered users who missed out on buying the Xiaomi phone on 30 September must have to re-apply].
