Rockstar Games, the developer and publisher of games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption, recently revealed its upcoming open world western action-adventure Red Dead Redemption 2.
The trailer showcased new details about the game, the wildlife, travel, nature and weapons in it. But a new map that was leaked online could be legitimate according to a NeoGAF user, who has found the link between the map and the game.
The map was originally posted by NeoGAF user Mideon, which was later taken down. But the map was reposted again by other users.
NeoGAF user Yuv912 has unearthed a sequence from the trailer that matches with the leaked map. "Not only are both the train tracks and the farm visible but the 'Cumberland Forest' area of the map appears to begin just north of the farm which is also clearly the case in the screenshot," the user said.
Also, reports have noted that the Grizzlies in the background make it difficult for us to ignore the hypothesis of the Reddit users.
Another user, Dingid_Forester has also provided a screenshot of another such place in the map near the MacLeans House.
Meanwhile, Redditors also wondered about the existence of an area called New Bordeux. This is significant since Mafia 3 is set up in New Bordeux. Some users said it could be an early design mistake.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is expected to release in Fall 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One.
