1) Nostalgia: Nokia did very well in emerging markets, including India, before it succumbed to competition from other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). However, Nokia was a household name at one point of time, a brand that may still ring in the mind of the people. If you still have this nostalgia, maybe it's time you grab one.
2) Android: Nokia opted for Windows OS for its smartphones, which could have an adverse effect. Having learnt its lesson the hard way, HMD Global has opted for Android operating system.
Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 run on Android 7.0 Nougat, and on top of that, the Finnish company has announced that it will seed Google's latest OS Android O to these handsets. That's impressive!
3) Pricing: One reason why Nokia phones did very well in price-sensitive markets like India was its aggressive pricing. HMD Global, the new owner of the brand, may not forget the fact that its target audience is the middle class who want feature-rich smartphones at a cheap price. It is reported that Nokia 6 will come with a price tag of Rs 15,990, while Nokia 5 will be priced at Rs 12,990 and Nokia 3 at Rs 9,990. It is yet to be confirmed, and it won't come as a surprise if the devices are made available at a cheaper rate.
