"Kumkum Bhagya", "Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi" and "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" are three of the most popular TV shows. The viewers sure have a love-hate relationship with the scripts and storylines, but they absolutely adore the lead pairs.
Abhi-Pragya, Ranveer-Ishani and Raman-Ishita enjoy a strong fan base and listed below are a few reasons why they have found such loyal fans:
Crackling chemistry
Fight scenes or romantic ones, these onscreen couples have established a style of their own. They have their own way of expressing love and anger, which is less dramatic. Also, their dialogues are very basic and not over-the-top so the viewers can relate to them.
Off-screen rapport
Shabbir Ahluwalia (Abhi), Sriti Jha (Pragya), Shakti Arora (Ranveer), Radhika Madan (Ishani), Karan Patel (Raman) and Divyanka Tripathi (Ishita) are all thorough professionals and also great friends off-screen. They might not hang out often but share great comfort level which translates onto the screen.
The fun spirit
These actors work round-the-clock to bring to their audience a good show, but they hardly ever let it show on their faces.
The interviews the actors give often find them in a fun mood pulling each other's leg. For instance, Shakti is often spotted joking and having a good time with Radhika while talking about the spoilers of his show.
Divyanka and Karan at times indulge in the selfie craze, and Sriti confessed to being in awe of Shabbir calling him the best co-actor she could have ever had.
Helping hand
What makes the characters play interesting is the actors' tendency to help each other with scenes.
"Another scene I'll never forget was the one in which Ranveer is shot and he falls into the pool while holding my gaze. I was shivering for 10 minutes after that, I couldn't stop crying... Shakti had to come up to me and make me realise that it's just a scene and he's alive. Of course then he cracked some stupid joke which brought a smile to my face and got me out of that zone," Radhika told Deccan Chronicle earlier this year.
