Oppo is on a smartphone launching spree and it is soon going to unveil yet another smartphone, but this time under its online sub-brand Realme. Following the success of Realme 1, the company is going to launch the Realme 2 on August 28, Flipkart's promotional page for the device has revealed, which also confirms the new handset will be available on Flipkart instead of Amazon.in as in the case of Realme 1.
Oppo isn't keeping a tight lid on Realme 2 as it has already ousted many key features and it has now confirmed the price of the Realme 1-successor to be priced under Rs 10,000. The company also touts that the Realme 2 will be the first smartphone with a notched display at such price point. It will be interesting to see how this new smartphone further disrupts the highly-competitive entry-level smartphone market in India.
But the notched display in the Realme 2 is not the only feature that warrants consumers' attention. Realme's official Twitter handle has generously shared key features about the phone, which confirm a 4,230mAh battery, dual rear cameras, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 6.2-inch display.
Realme also shared a photo sample shot from Realme 2, which shows impressive portrait capabilities. According to 91Mobiles, the handset is expected to come with 13MP+2MP dual camera setup at the back.
Realme 2's photos also confirm a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and diamond cut design at the back, which is quite similar to the Realme 1. The smartphone will also arrive in three colours, Diamond Red, Black and Blue.
The missing pieces to the Realme 2 puzzle will be revealed at the official launch next week. Stay tuned for updates.
