La Liga side Real Sociedad appointed former Everton and Manchester United coach David Moyes as their new manager, the Basque outfit revealed on their website.
Sociedad on Monday night said that the 51-year-old Scot signed a contract that will keep him at the club till June 30, 2016.
"Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes to be the club's first-team coach until June 30, 2016," a club statement read.
The club added that details of the Scot's unveiling as coach and the names of his backroom staff would be revealed on Tuesday.
Sociedad fired coach Jagoba Arrasate in the wake of a hugely disappointing start to the campaign which saw Sociedad that finished fourth in 2013 and seventh in 2014, win just one of their opening 10 league games as well as being eliminated from the Europa League.
Real beat champions Atletico Madrid 2-1 on Sunday to move out of the relegation zone and are currently 15th in La Liga, with just nine points from their opening 11 games.
