Real Madrid are reportedly close to signing one of the world's most exciting football prodigy, 16-year-old Norwegian, Martin Odegaard from Stomsgodset.
The Norwegian wonder kid has been linked with a number of top clubs across the world, such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Barcelona.
Such links talk highly about the talent that Odegaard possesses.
Meanwhile John Arne Riise, Norwegian footballer feels there is too much pressure on the young kid. "I feel a bit sorry for the boy," he told Dagbladet, Norway's tabloid.
"With anticipation the pressure rises. There is talk of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal. It makes people expect a lot.
"But he does seem to have his feet firmly on the ground and it seems like he has a great family around him.
"Even so, it will be tough for him now. People are wary of him and people will look out for him."
However, Real Madrid seems to have won the race to land the player, as Odegaard jetted to Madrid from South Oslo, reported The Daily Mail, but there are no reports to confirm that the player has flown to put pen on paper.
Even if the youngster decides to join the La Liga giants, would that be a right move? Would he be given some game time to prove his worth? Would the player get lost amidst a number of star players in the club? Only time will tell.
The player has so much of potential that he has already represented Norway three times. He also explained that he was a Liverpool fan and also trained with the Reds, which fuelled speculation that the player would be joining the club, which could have been a major signing for Anfield.
Along with Liverpool, the player also visited Bayern Munich and Manchester United for training.
Though nothing official has been heard as of now, the player needs to think calmly before taking the huge decision.
The player, though only 16 years of age already possesses a great technique along with his pace and creative skills to scare defenders.
Irrespective of which team he finally decides to join, one should give him enough time to prove his worth at the top level.
