Known for her roles in "Three's Company" and "Step and Step" Suzanne Somers is rumored to be joining the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills". The makers of the show want someone to stand up to Lisa Vanderpump, and Somers now seems the best choice, according to reports.
According to the July 7 print edition of Life & Style Magazine, Somers has been offered a role in the show by Andy Cohen himself. Apparently, the makers of the show want to use Somer's eccentric personality for the benefit of the show, and think that she can add novelty to the cast, reported Celebdirty Laundry.
However, an E! report suggests that Somers will not join "RHOBH".
Somers is friends with the cast members of "RHOBH" and could have filmed a few scenes in the social setting but she is not joining the cast, said the report.
"We do not have any comment, since no one has contacted Suzanne about these talks," a Somers' rep told the website.
Meanwhile, Somers had once suggested in an interview that it is not in her nature to fight and she is not interested in joining "RHOBH".
And it is not only "RHOBH", which Somers has denied to be a part of; she even rejected "The View".
"I don't see myself in that [situation], where I am like, screaming for time," she said.
Somers also implied that if she had to take "The View", she would have replaced Debbie Matenopoulis as "the young one".
"I want to go back to Vegas. I'm in the mood for that. I'd like to lie on a piano and wear a slinky dress and sing sexy songs and talk," Somers said, while talking about her future plans.
Meanwhile, as for the "RHOBH" cast, filming is already underway for season five, and Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Brandi Glanville, Kim Richards and Yolanda Foster are all returning for another season. However, the celebs who would not returning include Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premiered on 14 October 2010 on Bravo.
The original cast of the show consisted of Taylor Armstrong, Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump. Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster replaced Grammar in the third season of reality television series.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" was renewed for fresh season in April 2014.
