Huma Qureshi is busy with the promotions of her upcoming project – Tarla. The film is based on the life of the celebrity chef Tarla Dalal and Huma plays the titular role. Going by the promo, the film promises to be an entertaining ride and an actress like Huma can pull off such a role with ease. However, instead of praising Huma for choosing parts that engage the audience, a section of social media is busy criticising her outfits.
Social media body shames
As soon as Huma's video was shared online, netizens were quick to troll and body shame the actress. "Ye kiski mommy hai? Whose mommy is this?" asked one user. "Puma Qureshi," wrote another user. "Fat aa agaya," commented a social media user. "Upar se neeche tak fatne ko taiyaar (ready to burst)," another social media user commented.
"Pahle hi maine pahachan liya tha mudne se pahale yahi hogi majboot aurat (I had already recognised her from her back),"one comment read. "She is my sugar mom," another comment read. There were many other body shaming terms used for the actress. However, there were a few who requested everyone not to body shame the actress.
"Jinhone bhi inke liye bad comments likhe this is for you all..woh heroine hai toh usko mota baneka hakk nhi..tum log kaise bhi usko gali doge..aapne life mein aisa kuch bhi Kiya hai kya jise aapka koi naam ho..nhi na that she has done..so please stop writing such cheap comments..just think once if you are on her side and somebody comment u this way how it will feel..pls respect everyone.. (just because she is an actress she can't gain weight? what have you done that gets you the limelight)," wrote a social media user.
