The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 50.0265 rupees and the euro 66.0203 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (March 5, 2012) were 49.7958 rupees and 65.7392 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 79.3170 as against 78.7919 on the previous day (March 5, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 61.39 as against 61.27 the previous day.
