The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 50.6655 rupees and the euro 64.6314 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (January 17, 2012) were 51.0650 rupees and 64.9998 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 78.4818 as against 78.4818 on the previous day (January 17, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 66.59 as against 66.59 the previous day.
