The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 52.2255 rupees and the euro 66.7978 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (January 9, 2012) were 52.7325 rupees and 67.0098 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 80.8399 as against 81.3399 on the previous day (January 9, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 67.99 as against 68.54 the previous day.
