The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 52.7838 rupees and the euro 67.4618 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (January 5, 2012) were 52.7810 rupees and 68.1905 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 81.7885 as against 82.3331 on the previous day (January 5, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 68.34 as against 68.82 the previous day.
