The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 53.2660 rupees and the euro 68.9005 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (December 29, 2011) were 53.3585 rupees and 68.9881 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 82.0989 as against 82.5082 on the previous day (December 29, 2011) and that of Japanese yen is 68.68 as against 68.67 the previous day.
