The Reserve Bank of India Tuesday fixed the reference rate for the U.S. dollar at 52.8945 rupees and the euro 69.1508 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (December 26, 2011) were 52.8205 rupees and 68.9345 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the U.S. dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 82.7111 as against 82.4739 on the previous day (December 26, 2011) and that of Japanese yen is 67.90 as against 67.75 the previous day.
