The Reserve Bank of India Tuesday fixed the reference rate for the U.S. dollar at 53.0270 rupees and the euro 68.9987 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (Monday) were 52.9575 rupees and 68.9065 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the U.S. dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 82.3403 as against 83.7667 on the previous day and that of Japanese yen is 68.03 as against 69.49 the previous day.
