The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 51.3523 rupees and the euro at 69.1380 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (December 1, 2011) were 51.6520 rupees and 69.5086 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 80.5050 as against 81.0575 on the previous day (December 1, 2011) and that of Japanese yen is 66.02 as against 66.50 the previous day.
