The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 49.9448 rupees and the euro 65.3999 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (March 9, 2012) were 50.0150 rupees and 66.1776 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 78.2535 as against 79.0087 on the previous day (March 9, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 60.72 as against 61.31 the previous day.
