The Reserve Bank of India on Monday fixed the reference rate for the U.S. dollar at 52.9575 rupees and the euro at 68.9065 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for Friday (December 16) were 52.8140 rupees and 68.8091 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 82.0365 as against 82.0043 on Friday and that of Japanese yen is 67.95 as against 67.80 the previous day.
