The Reserve Bank of India Monday fixed the reference rate for the U.S. dollar at 52.4238 rupees and the euro at 69.9405 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous business day (Friday) were 52.2285 rupees and 69.6008 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the U.S. dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 81.9227 as against 81.5496 on the previous day and that of Japanese yen is 67.52 as against 67.33 the previous day.
