Actress Rashi Khanna, who was last seen in "Bengal Tiger," is returning with Sai Dharam Tej's "Supreme." She will surprise the Telugu audience with her comic timing in the movie.
Rashi Khanna, who forayed into Tollywood with "Oohalu Gusagusalade" in 2014, has played glamorous roles. But for the first time, she is seen playing a police officer in "Supreme," which features her fighting with baddies and tickling the funny bones of the audience. The actress, who is busy promoting the film, is all excited about the viewers' response for her role in the film.
In an interview to the Deccan Chronicle, Rashi Khanna revealed her excitement about her role in "Supreme." "My character's name is Bellam Sridevi and she is a strict police officer, but towards the end there is a lot of comedy," she said, adding: "My introduction scene has an action sequence."
Rashi Khanna says she had tough time in shooting comedy scenes for "Supreme." "Doing comedy is very challenging as I am a shy person in real life. But after this film, people will know me as a comedy actor," she said. "For me, the story is important, and in this film my character was well-written. After watching the film I am sure that other writers too will start writing for female actresses," she added.
The actress is happy that her work in "Supreme" has been appreciated by her co-stars Vennela Kishore and Raghu Babu. "This is the first time that I got a call from my co-stars about my performance," Rashi said.
The makers of "Supreme" have used the remix of the song "Andam Hindolam" from "Yamudiki Mogudu" starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Radha. Rashi was quite apprehensive about it. "In the original song Radha danced with Chiranjeevi garu. So I was a bit nervous, but once we did rehearsals and started shooting, it came out very well. Everyone in the unit appreciated us," the actress said.
