Naga Chaitanya's Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam (Ra Randoi Veduka Chuddam/RRVC) made a superb collection at the worldwide box office in the first week and crossed the Rs 30 crore mark in seven days.
The fantastic response enabled Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam to collect Rs 6.90 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day and become the biggest opener for Naga Chaitanya. The movie gained further strength on Saturday and Sunday, and collected Rs 18 crore gross in the global market in its opening weekend. It is the highest collection for a Chai film.
The Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer remained steady and collected approximately Rs 14 crore gross on the weekdays. Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam collected a total of Rs 32 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first week. The movie became a big money spinner for Naga Chaitanya in just seven days.
Naga Chaitanya's previous release Premam collected Rs 26.75 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its eight-day extended first week, and it was the highest collection for a film featuring the star. His Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo minted nearly Rs 18 crore at the box office in its first week and became the second-highest grosser for him. Now his latest outing has shattered both the records.
Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam is estimated to have earned Rs 18.50 crore for its global distributors in seven days. The movie has recovered over 75 percent of the investment of the distributors, who are thrilled, and hope to receive a good profit share in its second week.
Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, which has struck a chord with the family audience, is expected to continue its rocking business in the second week and become the first film of Naga Chaitanya to cross the Rs 50 crore mark. But it will clash with two new releases — Andhhagadu and Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor — that are likely to affect its collection.
