Yo Yo Honey Singh has made a comeback to Bollywood with a new song "Birthday Bash" for the upcoming film "Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend".
However, compared to Singh's previous songs, the party number seems to have failed to make it to the hearts of his fans; even after 48 hours of being uploaded on YouTube, the song has managed to get only about 6 lakh views.
Last year, Singh's song "Love Dose" from the album "Desi Kalakaar" created a frenzy among fans and in less than a week's time, the song garnered over 3.5 million views. "Love Dose" featured Miss Universe India 2012, Urvashi Rautela, who was wooed by the singer in the song.
'Birthday Bash' marks the rapper's return to Bollywood and was expected to create a huge buzz among fans, and top the musical charts.
But going by Singh's new composition that is moving at a snail's pace, it appears like the "Char Botal Vodka" singer has failed to live up to his fans' expectations.
In mid 2014, the rapper set tongues wagging when he suddenly went underground after his health deteriorated with fluctuating blood pressure, during the rehearsal of Shah Rukh Khan's "SLAM! De Tour". Since then, Singh is said to have been remained in complete bed rest.
There were also rumours that the popular rapper has been blacklisted by a B-town superstar, who had a major fight with Singh. The superstar's strong hold in the industry apparently made the rapper lose out on offers. But Singh's wife Shalini was quick enough to refute the rumours.
Uploaded by T-Series on 18 February, "Birthday Bash" also has singer Alfaaz crooning along with Singh.
