It is known that Ranveer and Deepika have high regards for director Bhansali with whom they have worked in two blockbusters Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

However, rumour has it that all is not well between Ranveer and Bhansali on the sets of the period drama. The team was shooting for a crucial scene on Allauddin Kilji, played by Ranveer, when the actor-director had a difference of opinion, which turned into a heated argument. Such was the scenario that Ranveer stormed out of the set to cool himself down.

"The two spent a good few minutes discussing the scene and it kind of turned into an argument. After a few minutes, Ranveer made a quick exit from the set to retire to his vanity van. He took some time off to cool off before resuming the shot," a source told India.com.

While one may wonder if the incident affected Ranveer and Bhansali's equation, it turned out that the two are thorough professionals and don't let such things affect their bond.

"The two are thorough professionals. And that apart, Ranveer has high regards for Bhansali. He feels indebted to him for giving him Ram Leela that the actor dubs as his 'grand showcase.' Creative differences are a normal, regular affair and both Bhansali and Ranveer know better than letting it ruin their personal or professional relationship," the source added.

Padmavati will see Deepika as queen of Chittor, Rani Padmavati, while Ranveer will be seen as ruler Alauddin Khilji. Shahid Kapoor will essay the role of Rani Padmavati's husband, Raja Ratan Singh of Chittor. The period love story is slated to hit theatres on November 17, 2017.
