Ranveer Singh Says He is Single, Denies Relationship with Deepika Padukone

After all the hug and public display of affection, Ranveer Singh says he is single and denies relationship with alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone.

Completely devoted to work, the actor says the reported romantic get-aways with Padukone were just work trips. "What do busy actors do apart from work? Nothing! Actors, in today's day and age, wake up in the morning, work, go to sleep. That's my life," Singh told Hindustan Times and added that he doesn't have the option of being in love since he is busy all the time.

"I don't have the option (of being in love). It's my choice to live my life the way I'm living it. I'm completely devoted to my work, as I should be in this phase of my life. I'm doing the best of work. I don't have a personal life or the time for myself. I'm happy this way."

Calling Padukone a "friend", the actor reportedly stressed on the fact that he has always maintained that he is single. Well, he might not be in love with the beautiful actress, but he admires her for the kind of work she does.

"Hardworking", "organised" and "effortless" are some of the words the "Gunday" actor used to describe his 'special' friend.

"During Goliyon..., she was also simultaneously juggling between Chennai Express (2013, CE) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013, YJHD)," the actor narrated. "I could not have possibly done something like that. We worked on it for a year and to do essentially double shifts like that is superhuman."

Explaining one of the episodes, Singh said the "Happy New Year" actress would promote "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" all day and return to sets to finish off the extravagant "Naga Sang Dol" song shoot from "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela".

The energetic actor, who supported Padukone's stand on the recent 'cleavage row', reportedly said the matter shouldn't be dragged and that he was intolerant to the disrespect shown to women and hence it was obvious that he would react.
