Several speculations have been made regarding Zoya Akhtar's next directorial. A few days ago, there were reports that Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor might star in her film, but the recent buzz is Ranveer will share screen space with Alia Bhatt.
Zoya is coming up with an intense romantic drama and has got Ranveer's approval for the film, Spotboye.com reported. She is waiting for Alia's dates as the actress is currently busy with Gauri Shinde's film.
If these reports are to be believed, Alia and Ranveer will appear together for the first time on the big screen. On the other hand, the report of Ranveer and Ranbir starring in a film seems to be a mere rumour. It all started when both the actors were spotted at Zoya's residence.
Ranveer visited Zoya's house Thursday, while Ranbir was spotted last week along with Kiran Rao and Ayan Mukerji at the director's residence. However, fans would have loved to see Deepika Padukone's former and current boyfriend in one film.
No confirmed reports of Zoya's next film have come out yet. Looking at the previous films of Zoya, there are possibilities that the ace director may cast all the three — Alia, Ranveer and Ranbir — in a film. If you remember, she had brought ex-flames Ranveer and Anushka together in her last flick "Dil Dhadakne Do."
Ranbir has not yet worked with Zoya, but she is a good friend of Ranveer. And as for Alia, Zoya and the "Kapoor and Sons" actress share a close bond. "Zoya and Alia get along really well. It's a matter of accommodating the film, which Alia should be able to manage given her admiration for Zoya as a filmmaker which she has often been vocal about," Spotboye.com quoted a friend of the actress as saying.
Meanwhile, Alia is busy promoting "Kapoor and Sons," and is also shooting for Gauri Shinde's next film. Ranveer is shooting for "Befikre" opposite Vaani Kapoor and Ranbir is working on two projects — "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Jagga Jasoos."
