Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani" has recently started shooting in Jaipur.
The entire cast and crew are in the historic city to shoot a major war sequence, some parts of which will be shot in Sambhar, Amer Fort, Raigad and Kanota Fort in Jaipur, reported Deccan Chronicle.
Some pictures from the massive royal setting have surfaced on the internet, where several junior artists, camels and horses play a major part.
Ranveer Singh, who plays the lead actor of the film, recently arrived at the Pink City and will soon be joined by his co-star and alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone, who is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" opposite ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor.
"Bajirao Mastani" is a period-drama and is based on the love story of warrior Peshwa Baji Rao, (played by Singh) and his second wife Mastani (played by Padukone)
The film also has Priyanka Chopra playing a supporting yet important role as Baji Rao's first wife, Kashibai.
The plot of "Bajirao Mastani" will essentially revolve around the real life lovebirds Singh and Padukone, however, the story of Baji Rao's troubled first wife Kashibai is an important part of the film.
"Bajirao Mastani" also features Aditya Pancholi and Mahesh Manjrekar in important roles and is scheduled to hit theatres on 25 December 2015.
