Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has recently revealed her role in the upcoming film "Rangoon", which also features Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. Kangana is playing the character of an actress named Julia from the 1940s.
The "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" actress has been spotted with her bob-cut hairstyle at several events recently, which is a glimpse of her appearance in the film. "In 'Rangoon', I play an action star of the 1940s. And Julia is a woman who is very fierce, very fiery, she's a great dancer and a great action star," IANS quoted Kangana as saying.
"For the film, I have this look. it's not styled like that. It's more vintage-y, more wavy which you'll get to see in the film," she added. Shahid and Saif have also donned vintage looks for this film.
Set against the backdrop of World War II, "Rangoon" is a Casablanca-like love triangle. Saif is playing a filmmaker and Shahid will appear as a soldier.
Shahid and Saif have earlier worked with the film's director Vishal Bhardwaj. Shahid has done two films — "Kaminey" and "Haider" — while Saif has worked with Vishal in "Omkara". However, this is the first time the "Queen" actress is working with the filmmaker and the actors.
In other news, Kangana has also been making headlines due to her "war of words" with Hrihtik Roshan. There were reports that Kangana, in an interview, hinted at the "Mohenjo Daro" actor as her "silly ex". Hrithik lashed out at the actress through a post on Twitter and rubbished any talk of dating her.
