Kangana Ranaut has opted out of director Sai Kabir's upcoming film "Divine Lovers," which will also feature Irrfan Khan. After Sai's "Revolver Rani," Kangana and the director had decided to collaborate once again with "Divine Lovers," but now the makers have to find another leading actress.
Sai Kabir had announced the film in 2014 with Kangana and Irrfan, but it seems the actress chose to turn down the film after "Revolver Rani" failed to impress at the box office."Kangana Ranaut is no more a part of my film 'Divine Lovers.' I am launching a new girl opposite the leading man Irrfan Khan. It's going to be a surprise for everyone," Deccan Chronicle quoted the director as saying.
On the other hand, SpotboyE reported that the popular Punjabi actress, Parul Gulati, might star in the film. The young actress has appeared in several commercials and in a few Punjabi films, including Honey Singh's "Zorawar."
However, Kangana walked out of "Divine Lovers," but it would have been interesting to see Kangana and Irrfan's pair on the silver screen. Earlier, it had been reported that Ketan Mehta was also trying to rope in this pair for his next film, which was said to be on the life and times of renowned ghazal and thumri singer Begum Akhtar.
In other news, Kangana is currently in London, where she has gone for a vacation. She will soon be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's "Rangoon" alongside Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. Kangana plays the character of a 1940s' actress named Julia in the film.
And, Irrfan is busy with several Bollywood and Hollywood projects. He will be seen in Nishikant Kamat's "Madaari" and recently the actor's first looks from the film were released. Irrfan will also be seen in Hollywood movie "Inferno" alongside Tom Hanks.
The trailer of "Madaari" will be released on May 11.
