Even as people are still reeling under the shock of the mass suicide in Delhi, another family in Jharkhand's Ranchi were found dead in their residence on Monday morning (July 30).

As per our earlier reports on Monday, seven members of the family committed suicide at the Kanke police station area and the police were trying to ascertain the reason behind the suicide.

Neighbour's child found the bodies

According to an English daily, the bodies were discovered by a neighbour's child at around 8:45am, when she entered their house to call Drishti after her school van had arrived. The neighbour's child was able to enter the house as it was unlocked.

She immediately alerted the others and the police were informed.

Cops have found suicide notes

On arriving at the residence of the Jha family, the cops saw that the body of one of the two brothers was hanging from the ceiling in one room. The bodies of five other members including the children were found wrapped in a blanket and kept on two joint mattresses in the same room. Rupesh was found hanging near the bed in the adjacent room.

The cops have found a 15-page long and a two-page-long suicide note in the house, but have refused to disclose any information.

Neighbours blame financial crisis

Meanwhile, neighbours have said that the family was undergoing financial crisis as a result of which they took the extreme step.

"They had also taken a loan of around Rs 20 lakh. As a result, Deepak's father often used to speak about their financial crisis," Hindustan Times quoted a neighbour, who has chosen to remain anonymous, as saying.

The cops are currently investigating the incident.

This Ranchi mass suicide comes a few days after a family of six was found dead at their residence in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh.
