Former lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are being considered for a Karan Johar film. Reports suggest that the filmmaker is impressed with the story and is keen on roping in the pair.
A SpotboyE report stated that it will be a road film where the central characters will set out on a journey that will change their outlook. What remains undecided is whether Karan will take up directorial responsibilities with this one or not.
This piece of news comes close on the heels of Ranbir and Deepika's secret meetings from last month. While it was being speculated that the lady is helping him move on from his breakup with Katrina Kaif, a source told BollywoodLife that they have been discussing work.
"There might be a possibility that the two might come together for a film and that was being discussed between them. There is no possibility of Deepika intervening or playing a mediator for Ranbir and Katrina," the insider told the web portal.
However, this isn't the first time that a director has shown interest in pulling Ranbir and Deepika onboard for a film. Earlier this year, there were rumours that Sajid Nadiadwala has been wanting to work with the pair.
"Mr. Nadiadwala has pitched them some interesting story ideas. Now it all depends on which script they eventually agree on. Both Ranbir and Deepika have agreed to team up again, but this is just in the initial stages as both actors are busy with prior commitments," a source told the Asian Age.
The insider also informed the leading daily that the "Kick" producer-director will announce the project in 2017.
If Ranbir and Deepika were to come together for Karan's film, it would be their fourth film after "Bachna Ae Haseeno," "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," and "Tamasha."
