Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, was supposed to hit the screens in 2016, but it took a lot of time because of various reasons, including the lead pair's break-up in real life. Now, Jagga Jasoos is set to be released on July 14, and Ranbir has revealed the plot of the movie.
Ranbir also revealed that the sequel of Jagga Jasoos was planned even before the first instalment got a release date. "When we planned Jagga Jasoos, we already thought of making its sequel," DNA quoted Ranbir as saying.
He further talked about the plot of the movie and in fact, revealed the story idea of Jagga Jasoos 2. "In this movie I am searching for my father, and the way this movie is made, I am sure my grandchildren are going to be searching for me in the sequel," Ranbir said.
Ranbir, Katrina and the other members of the Jagga Jasoos team are leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie. The film has lost some hype and publicity due to the delay in its release, and the makers now hope that Kat and Ranbir's pair may attract viewers to the theatres.
The duo has done only one film – Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahaani – together and now, they are making a comeback with this movie. Though the two have parted ways, they were quite professional on the sets. Some videos and photos showed them having fun and it didn't look like they were dealing with broken hearts.
On the other hand, both the actors are also busy shooting for other movies. Ranbir will be next seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic and Ayan Mukerji's superhero movie. Katrina's basket is full of big banner films.
She will be seen with Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan, Shah Rukh Khan in Aanand L Rai's as-yet untitled movie and opposite ex-boyfriend Salman Khan in Tiger Zinda Hai.
