Ranbir Kapoor has been going through a rough patch in terms of his films' box office collection, but he may be able to redeem it all with his next, a sequel.
According to a Bollywood Life report, the "Bombay Velvet" star has replaced Salman Khan in "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun" sequel.
"The film had ended with Prem and Nisha getting married and the sequel will pick up from there. Barjatya will start working on the project soon. Contrary to rumours, Salman will not be seen in the lead role, but Ranbir. Barjatya will start the pre-production work only after locking the star cast," a source said, according to the web portal.
Another insider close to Rajshri Productions added the sequel would go on floors after the Kapoor scion is done shooting for his current projects. "...No actor has been finalised, but Ranbir is definitely being considered for the lead role," the source informed.
However, since there has been no official announcement on the project as yet, this can, at best, be counted as a mere speculation.
In other news, Kapoor is facing trouble with his upcoming release "Jagga Jasoos", which also stars his girlfriend Katrina Kaif, as it has been delayed further.
Apparently, the shooting has been suspended due incessant rains in Mumbai. "...Though adequate measures were taken, waterlogging affected the shoot. The crew has been left stranded and with absolutely no respite from the rains, the shootinghas been suspended," a source told BL.
The Kapoor lad also has "Tamasha", alongside Deepika Padukone, in his kitty for 2016.
