Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif may have parted ways and moved on in life, but Salman Khan cannot seem to make his peace with their split. Apparently, the "Sultan" star being miffed with close friend Sanjay Dutt has something to do with the ex-couple.
The Sanjay Dutt biopic is underway and Ranbir has been confirmed to play the lead. Salman isn't particularly pleased with the choice and had requested Sanjay to reconsider, the Asian Age reported.
The senior actor declined it saying it was director Rajkumar Hirani's call and that he cannot do much about it. Also, Sanjay is quite fond of the "Jagga Jasoos" actor and didn't see why he couldn't be in the biopic.
This has apparently irked the superstar a great deal, which is why he hasn't really met up with Sanjay ever since he walked out the prison door a few months ago. Several reports suggest, Salman was supposed to host a lavish bash at his Panvel farmhouse celebrating his friend's release, but it never took place.
In other news, the biopic is shaping up slow but steady. Last year, Ranbir spoke to DNA at length about the extensive physical transformation he has to go through for the project.
"When I do Raju Hirani's film on Sanjay Dutt, I will try to look like him. Unka jo body type thin tha, then thode mote ho gaye the, ek samay par. As an actor, it's my responsibility to make the audiences believe that it's not me on screen but the characters we play. So the physical transformation will be an important part of the film," the daily quoted him as saying.
