Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have played hide-and-seek with the cupid for long, and on several occasions have denied their alleged relationship bluntly. But attending parties together and enjoying the beach view on a 'romantic' getaway suggest otherwise.
Kapoor and his 'rumoured' girlfriend Kaif were spotted partying at Karan Johar's residence recently. But they were not trying to run away from the paparazzi this time. While the "Barfi" actor winked, Kaif sat beside him coyly. Is this their new way of handling the overreaching lensmen or are they now ready to put their relationship out in the open? Only time will tell.
Going by Kapoor's recent statements - that he is married to his work and not is completely focused on his career - this appearance comes across as surprising for sure. The lovebirds are a regular at the Johar house and are often invited for important family functions and celebrations. The last time (Diwali 2013) the two were invited, both had stepped in separately.
A new twist in the tale sprung up when ex-beau Deepika Padukone took to Twitter to congratulate 'buddy' Ranbir Kapoor on his new football team Mumbai City FC.
"All the best-est to you and your team Bira!!! Chic logo btw...;-)," she wrote.
Padukone and Kapoor have been friends ever since their break-up and have also done two films after that - "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and "Tamaasha". And going by the support shown by the "Happy New Year" actress, it appears that the two now share a strong bond.
So did insecurity lead the otherwise shy Kaif to step out with Kapoor? That remains to be answered.
Gauri Khan, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma also attended Johar's party.
