Katrina Kaif once said talking about Salman Khan was disrespectful to her "existing relationship", but the alleged split with Ranbir Kapoor seems to have altered the dynamics a tad.
A BollywoodLife source said both Katrina and Salman were chatty at Ali Abbas Zafar's recently held bash.
"Katrina and Salman were chatting for more than an hour. Ali was initially part of the conversation but he later stepped out and gave them privacy. Even though the details of the chat are not known it seemed like Kat was extremely comfortable talking to Salman," the insider further added.
Adding to this pleasant surprise are reports which claim it was after the "Fitoor" actress met ex-flame Salman at a suburban studio that she decided to call it quits with the Kapoor scion. However, there was much hoopla about the two meeting up at Zafar's party and some even called it a "secret meeting".
The rumours have upset the actress a great deal, as a result of which she has released a statement via her spokesperson that clearly stated that it was not a hush-hush interaction.
"Ali Abbas Zafar is Katrina's close friend and she attends his brithday party every year and this year was no different. Ali happens to be directing Sultan with Salman in it, which is why he was on the guest list, along with a whole bunch of other people, including Kabir Khan. There was no secret meeting between Katrina and Salman. Request people to please have some respect and not concoct stories which are untrue," Pinkvilla quoted the spokesperson as saying.
