The leader of a prestigious chronograph has roped in Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor as its new brand ambassador, which is also endorsed by the king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.
Kapoor has signed a long-term deal with the Swiss brand and with the actor on board, the company has strengthened their position in the industry in becoming the only brand to have two biggest names of Bollywood attached with them.
"In India, we are proud to have two of the best names in Bollywood sporting TAG Heuer and we see a great future with them in the coming years." the watch brand's CEO Stephane Linder told IANS.
Kapoor while speaking about teaming up with the popular brand said: "TAG Heuer has always been one of my dreams. It started when I was really young, it was the first watch I wanted to own in my life. I remember my parents gifted it to me on my 13th birthday. So now, to be associated with the brand is really humbling for me. I really have to pinch myself to believe that I am part of the TAG Heuer family."
"I think TAG Heuer stands for the four principle P's that is prestige, precision, passion and performance. I think that is something we all and especially I can identify with; the way I look at my career, my life. I believe these are very important aspects for how one should approach their life, their work and their relationships." the actor added.
The "Barfi" actor who belongs to the legendary Kapoor family, has managed to make a mark of himself in the industry within a short career span and that is what makes him a Time Changer, believes Puneet Sewra, Marketing Director of the brand. The company is very proud to have Kapoor in their family and look forward for a long-term association with the actor, Sewra added.
With this association, Kapoor joins the elite list of popular international sportsmen and celebrities who have endorsed the same brand, including Hollywood film actress Cameron Diaz, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, WTA tennis champion Maria Sharapova, World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier, Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, and the entire team of 2013 America's Cup winner Oracle Team US, apart from SRK.
Now, with Kapoor joining the brand, it would be interesting to see if the two Bollywood superstars shares the screen space or appear in separate ads.
