Looks like Ranbir Kapoor has his guns ready for a battle against Hrithik Roshan, with reports of his "Jagga Jasoos" clashing against "Bang Bang".
Ranbir is said to have grabbed the 2 October 2014 date for the release of his upcoming detective flick "Jagga Jasoos", which has already been booked by Hrithik and Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang", reported Times of India.
"Jagaa Jassos", a big ticket project produced under Disney Pictures, was initially planned for a Diwali 2014 release but the date has already been taken by Shah Rukh Khan's multi-starrer project "Happy New Year".
A clash with an SRK film seems to be a foregone conclusion, as proven by Ranbir's debut debacle "Saawariya", which had clashed with Shah Rukh's superhit "Om Shanti Om" in 2007.
And hence the makers of "Jagga Jasoos" preponed the release date to 2 October. Ranbir's box office dud "Besharam" had released on the same date this year.
Since Hrithik's "Bang Bang" has already been booked for the same slot, an evident clash is expected at the Box office.
"Bang Bang" has not completed production, with the next schedule of the film not yet fixed, due to Hrithik's health condition. A delay in schedule might affect its release date but the makers of the romantic comedy are adamant on releasing the film on the same date itself.
Interestingly, both "Jagaa Jasoos" and "Bang Bang" star Katrina as female lead and a clash of the two would mean the actress will have a tough time, with respect to the marketing and promotion gimmicks.
