Ranbir Kapoor's much hyped film, "Roy" has finally started rolling the cameras.
The film, directed by Vikramjit Singh also has Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles.
The film has been in the news for a long time and its shooting reportedly got delayed due to several issues.
Fernandez, who is currently riding high with the super success of "Kick" posted her photograph from the first day of the shoot on her Instagram page on Thursday, thus indicating that the film has finally taken off.
The Sri Lankan beauty will be seen in a double role in the film.
The team is currently in Malaysia and will be joined by Kapoor, Rampal and the entire crew by September.
An India Today report suggests that Rampal who had worked with Kapoor in the 2010 political drama "Raajneeti" is miffed with the "Barfi" star.
Earlier, rumours carried that the Kapoor lad only had a special appearance in the film, but director Singh later mentioned that the film's script underwent some major changes and has created a meatier role for Kapoor.
The "Besharam" actor has reportedly dedicated 45-days shooting schedule for the film.
The development seems to have come as a surprise to the "Rock On" actor leaving him worried as Kapoor's stardom might eat his part in the film.
Moreover, Kapoor's popularity and back to back assignments are forcing him to delay the project and allot fewer dates to the film, which has apparently left Rampal no choice but to waste his dates. But if reports are to be believed, then the actor has not expressed his worry.
"I don't think Arjun resents anything. The script has undergone a lot of changes like it usually happens. Like any other script, this one also needed some adjustments and changes and Ranbir's role has turned meatier," the director has earlier told the The Times of India.
Now it remains to be seen if the brotherly love the duo shared in "Raajneeti" continues in "Roy" or a cold war develops?
