Successful filmaker Rohit Shetty, has been in the news for his association with Karan Johar for the remake of "Ram Lakhan".
While speculations regarding the lead actors of "Ram Lakhan" have been doing the rounds, the recent buzz is that Shetty has roped in ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in his next ambitious project, according to a report in Film Fare. However, nothing has been confirmed as of now.
If rumours are anything to go by, then with this untitled film, Shetty and Padukone will be working for the second time after the massive success of their 2013 release "Chennai Express" along with Shah Rukh Khan.
Both the "Barfi" and the "Happy New Year" stars are currently working on Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha". The film will bring the sizzling pair back on screen for the second time after their break-up. The duo has earlier worked together in Ayan Mukherji's blockbuster, "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani" (2013).
Meanwhile, the remake of Subhash Ghai's iconic film, "Ram Lakhan", which will be produced by Johar has been the talk of the town. There were also reports that director Shetty has considered Kapoor and Padukone for the film.
"Ram Lakhan" was one of the iconic films of Bollywood that showcased the bond between two brothers, Ram and Lakhan. Previous reports stated that Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan were approached to play the lead roles. Even Padukone's alleged beau Ranveer Singh had expressed his eagerness to feature as the lead in the film.
However, the makers of the "Ram Lakhan" remake have not yet revealed any details regarding the project.
