Karan Johar's celebrity chat show will have cousins Ranbir and Kareena appearing together onscreen for the first time ever.
Johar's "Kofee with Karan" Season 4 which is set to begin this December will have a long line of celebrity guests. But the director has pulled off a new move by bringing together the super-successful Kapoor cousins - Ranbir and Kareena.
According to India Today, the "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" director will have Ranbir sharing the couch with Kareena as they open up on their personal fronts.
Kareena has not been featured with Ranbir in any film till date. Recently, speculations were rife that she might play Ranbir's sister in Zoya Akhtar's film. But the reports fell flat as the duo refused to sign up for the project.
Kareena has often been spotted bonding with Ranbir. They were recently clicked with Karishma at an airport and were also spotted at Johar's party where the "Barfi!" actor was seen hugging his cousin Kareena before leaving the venue.
Obviously Kareena and Ranbir's screen sharing is bound to give a boost to the chat show. Also reports have it that superstar Salman Khan will be a guest in the show's opening episode for the first time, which some say may come in the way of Johar's friendship with Shah Rukh Khan.
Salman had earlier joked about working with Johar and in the process took a dig at Shah Rukh. But their rivalry seems to have simmered down with their brief reconciliation at an Iftaar party.
Salman's brewing friendship with Johar was evident when he recently mentioned the director's mother Hiroo Johar in context of his reality show "Bigg Boss 7".
Johar also replied to the reference as he tweeted, "Salman has mentioned my Mother's name on #Biggboss and she hasn't stopped Blushing!!! She is on Cloud 9!!!!!"
The first look of "Kofee with Karan" Season 4 was released earlier this month and the director matched steps Broadway style to usher in the new season.
