Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, 14 December, has got a double treat from the makers of his upcoming films on the special occasion.
The actor's first look from "Baahubali" and the making video journal of "Rudhramadevi" were released as birthday gifts for him.
Rana's look as a warrior with a roaring lion in "Baahubali" poster has received good response from the fans. The actor plays the role of Bhallala Deva, a character with negative shades, in the film.
"Baahubali" team is currently shooting in Bulgaria and the film is expected to hit the screens in summer 2015.
"We're in Bulgaria right now shooting some good stunts the kind that has never been seen here before. We also plan to release the film in summer," director Rajamouli told Deccan Chronicle.
"Baahubali" is touted as the costliest film to be ever made in the history of Tollywood cinema. It has been in the making for more than a year and the team is planning to release it in two parts. While the first part will be released next year, the second part is expected to hit theatres in 2016.
The magnum opus has Prabhas playing the titular role, while Anushka Shetty appears as the female lead. The film also boasts of an ensemble star cast including Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
Its music is composed by MM Keeravani, while cinematography is handled by Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film is produced by Arka Media Works banner.
Besides "Baahubali" first look, Rana also received another birthday gift from the makers of "Rudhramadevi." As a birthday treat for the actor's fans, "Rudhramadevi" team released a making video journal. The film, touted as a historic drama, will have Rana playing the role of a warrior, named Chalukya Veerabhadhrudu.
It may be recalled that the team had released the first making video on Anushka Shetty's birthday last month. The actress appears in title role of Rudhramadevi, the queen of the Kakatiya dynasty.
Directed by Gunasekhar, the historic film has Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj, Catherine Tresa, Krishnam Raju, Aditya Menon and Hamsa Nandhini among others in pivotal roles.
"Rudhramadevi" has its music composed by Ilayaraja, while cinematography is handled by Ajay Vincent and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Produced by Gunasekhar, the film is expected to hit the screens in January 2015.
