Malayalam movie Ramante Edanthottam (Ramante Edenthottam) is slated to hit the screens in Kerala on Friday, May 12. Helmed by Ranjith Sankar, the family entertainer stars Kunchacko Boban and Anu Sithara in the lead roles.

What makes Ramante Edanthottam special?
Ranjith had announced the project, his maiden association with Kunchacko Boban, during the success celebration of the director's blockbuster Pretham, an interesting horror thriller in Malayalam.
Kunchacko Boban's dedication
Earlier, while announcing Ramante Edanthottam on social media, Ranjith had mentioned about the dedication of Boban. The young star had taken almost three months to prepare for the character. The actor, who was last seen in the realistic entertainer Take Off, didn't commit to other projects during this time period.
"When I narrated raman to this man first thing he told me was that he will need 3 months to prepare for the part.. to get in shape physically and mentally. .And that he won't be shooting anything else in those 3 months. That's such a confidence boost for any film maker. To Malini He is Ram..To Elvis He is Raman..And His Eden Thottam is special..Kunchacko Boban plays HIM," Ranjith had earlier shared on his Facebook page.
Interesting storyline
Forty-year-old Ram Menon aka Raman lives in his isolated 500 acres Edanthottam in the middle of a forest without access to Internet or mobile phones. Malini, a dancer from an urban background, arrives at Edanthottam and falls in love with the place. The movie narrates the interesting incidents that take place in the backdrop of the green sprawl, Vagamon. Joju George, Ramesh Pisharody, Sreejith Ravi, Aju Varghese and Muthumani also appears in significant roles.
Fresh pair
The audience can see the chemistry of a fresh couple in Kunchacko and Anu Sithara. The filmmaker has said Raman would be a never-seen-before avatar of Kunchacko. Interestingly, the makers have released a special promo video to introduce Malini, played by Anu.

The movie, which has been got a U certificate with a running time of 2 hour and 2 minutes, has been bankrolled by Ranjith under the banner of Dreams N Beyond. Bijibal has composed the music for the film.
