The makers of "Raman Raghav 2.0" have released the much-awaited trailer of the film and it looks intriguing. After the debacle of "Bombay Velvet," it looks like director Anurag Kashyap is back in the game with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal-starrer.
The thriller drama is inspired from the life of notorious serial killer Raman Raghav, who murdered many people in the mid 1960s. The psychopath killer was later nabbed and sentenced to life imprisonment, but he died due to kidney failure in Yerwada Central jail, Pune.
The trailer of the Anurag Kashyap directorial gave a glimpse of Nawaz and Vicky's brilliant performances. The "Masaan" actor plays a drug-addict cop and his performance will definetly blow your mind. On the other hand, Nawaz's scary character will give you goosebumps.
Fans will be happy to see that the "Dev D" director is back with another interesting story of "Raman Raghav 2.0," which is slated to be released on June 24. He was last appreciated for "Ugly," which was immensely praised by critics and audience. But, "Bombay Velvet," starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, failed to woo the audience last year.
However, Anurag said at the trailer launch that he was the reason his last film tanked at the box office. "When a film fails, it is 100 per cent the director's fault. If 'Bombay Velvet' didn't work, it is entirely my fault. The director is the only one who has the power to say no. A lot of the places where I should've taken a stand, I didn't. So the mistake is mine. When a film is good, it's everybody's contribution," Anurag said.
He is known for making small-budget, but intriguing films like "Black Friday," "Dev D," "Gulaal" and "Ugly." Meanwhile, watch the trailer of "Raman Raghav 2.0" here and also, check out what Twitterati have to say about it.
