Ever since the trailer of "Raman Raghav 2.0" starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been released, the thriller film has been making a huge buzz in social media. Besides the gripping trailer, the trippy songs of the film, "Qatl-e-Aam" and "I am Ramantic," have also been raising the curiosity among moviegoers.
Interestingly, the unplugged version of "Qatl-e-Aam," which was released last week, has already garnered a massive viewership of 1 million on YouTube. The video features singer Sona Mohapatra and actress Sobhita Dhulipala. "Qatl-e-Aam" is a night song composed by Ram Sampath.
"I'm delighted with the success of the song, especially because it captures the essence of characters as intriguing as Raghav and Simi in 'Raman Raghav 2.0'," Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) quoted Sampath as saying.
The track has also mesmerised several Bollywood celebrities, including Sonam Kapoor who mentioned the song as "crazy" on her Twitter handle. "I love this new crazy @sonamohapatra song. Trance meets Ghazal! Heard Qatl-E-Aam yet?," she had tweeted.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, "Raman Raghav 2.0" is a psychological thriller drama based on the life of serial killer Raman Raghav, who had admitted to killing over 40 people in Mumbai in the mid-1960s. Besides Nawazuddin, the film also features Vicky Kaushal and Sobhita in lead roles. Vicky essays the role of an inspector, Raghavan.
"Raman Raghav 2.0" is co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom production and is slated to hit the screens on Friday, June 24.
