Ram Charan's upcoming movie Dhruva has completed the formalities of the regional censor board. The pre-release promotional function of the film is set to be held in the first week of December.
Officials of the regional censor board watched the first copy of Dhruva at a special screening in Hyderabad today. They have awarded a U/A certificate for the movie without any cut or mute. Vamsi Kaka, the PR for the film, confirmed the news about its censorship on his Twitter handle. He tweeted: "U/A for Mega Power Star Ram Charan's #Dhruva . Releasing on December 9, 2016."
The makers of Dhruva recently released the audio album of the film in the market without a formal music launch function. They had told that they would hold a pre-release function as a part of its promotion. The producers are yet to finalise the details of the event, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on 9 December.
G Sriniwasa Kumar tweeted: "#Dhruva pre release function ll be 1st week of Dec Censor Passed wth U/AWorldwide Grand release on 9th December #Megapowerstar is Coming." Meanwhile, he refuted the rumours about the date and venue of the function. He wrote: "The team of #Dhruva officially ll give information abt Pre release function soon Some news under circulation abt venues n dates r not True."
Dhruva is an official remake of the 2015 Tamil-action thriller film Thani Oruvan. The movie is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Allu Aravind under his banner Geetha Arts. Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh are playing the lead roles, while Arvind Swamy, Posani Krishna Murali, Nasser and others appear in the supporting cast of the film. Hiphop Tamizha has composed music for the movie.
