Ram Charan, whose last release - "Govindudu Andarivaadele" (GAV) - hit the screens in October this year, is yet to announce his next.
Earlier, it was reported that Ram Charan will be teaming up with director Srinu Vaitla after completing "GAV." Following the poor show of Vaitla's "Aagadu," there was a buzz that Ram Charan will not be teaming up with the director.
But, the latest reports suggest that the Ram Charan-Vaitla film is still on cards and is expected to go on floors around February next year. The director is currently busy finalising the film's script.
"Ram has been narrated the script, but he's yet to give his nod. Vaitla sir has gone back to make some changes to the script. Once done, and if everything goes as planned, the project will go on floors from February," a source close to Ram Charan told IANS.
Details about the film's cast and crew are yet to be revealed. Besides the Vaitla directorial, Ram Charan is reportedly in talks with other directors for new projects. According to reports, he will be teaming up with director Gautham Menon after completing Vaitla's film. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
The actor is going through a good phase with back-to-back successful films like "Yevadu" and "GAV." While "Yevadu" emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2014, "GAV" also fared well at the box office.
Ram Charan, who has done several action entertainers, did a family entertainer ("GAV") with director Krishna Vamsi for the first time. The film received positive reviews from the critics and audience alike. Ram Charan's performance also won accolades from the fans.
After doing a family entertainer, Ram Charan will apparently get back to doing an action entertainer. The actor's next film will be a fast-paced action entertainer with Vaitla-style entertainment, reported The Times of India.
Fans are eagerly looking forward to the announcement on his next film. It remains to be seen as to when there will be an official word on the project.
