Ram Charan's Hindi debut flick "Zanjeer" ("Thoofan" in Tamil) might be a box office dud, but that has not affected the Telugu actor's star potential in Bollywood.
Earlier, speculations were rife that Ram Charan was offered a film under Salman Khan's home production. If latest reports are to be believed, the film will soon be launched. Apparently, Ram Charan was in Mumbai on Tuesday to discuss about the project that will be produced by Salman.
The "Zanjeer" actor reportedly had a meeting over lunch at Salman's home in Mumbai. It seems the duo had decided to work together in a film, which might go on floors next year. Confirming the news, Ram Charan told Bollywood Hungama, "Yes, I was in Mumbai. I had come to meet Salman. We are working on a project together."
Despite facing failure in his first Hindi film, the actor is all gung-ho about his career in Bollywood. "I've nowhere to go but ahead since I've touched rock-bottom with 'Zanjeer'. Actually I had things much too easy so far. My life and my career were like a fairytale. I think I needed to be jolted," he said.
Besides his Hindi project, Ram Charan is also working on a couple of Telugu films. The actor's upcoming film "Yevadu", directed by Vamsi Paidipally, is getting ready for a grand release. The film was scheduled to hit the screens on 10 October, but the release date was pushed further to pave way for Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" (RV). "Yevadu" producer Dil Raju, who also happens to be the producer of "RV", had revealed that the Ram Charan-starrer might hit theatres during Diwali or Christmas.
Ram Charan is also set to begin working in a new film, directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film, deemed as a family entertainer, will have Venkatesh teaming up with the "Magadheera" hero for the first time. The director is said to have completed the script and the film's shooting is expected to begin soon.
